How can I search for a specific record (e.g. customer, translator, invoice)?

To find a specific record, click on the search button below in the respective form:

This will open a small dialog box named "Search and Replace":

You can either search for a record in one specific field only (search option 1; e.g. in the customer name field only) or in all fields (search option 2).

Search option 1: Searching only in one field
Click into the respective field that you would to browse for a specific record before you click on the search button.

Then click on the search button. After "Look In:" you see the field that you are browsing for a record.
If you chose the search option "Match: Whole field", the search term must exactly match the word in the database (e.g. if you are looking for "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG", you would have to enter in "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG").
Choosing "Any Part of Field", you will find the customer "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG" also if you entered "Porsche", even though Porsche is not the exact/complete customer name.

Search option 2: Searching in all fields
After "Look In:" select the form instead of a specific field. Doing so, you will search all fields for the search term.
If you chose the search option "Match: Whole field", the search term must exactly match the word in the database (e.g. if you are looking for "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG", you would have to enter in "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG").
Choosing "Any Part of Field", you will find the customer "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG" also if you entered "Porsche", even though Porsche is not the exact/complete customer name.
